Audi A8L The Future of Premium Saloon

The fourth generation of the Audi A8 officially slides in Indonesia with the latest Audi design lines, innovative chassis technology, sophisticated instrument panels and mild hybrid drive systems in accordance with Audi’s Vorsprung durch Technik philosophy. The New Audi A8 L premium saloon was officially introduced by PT Garuda Mataram Motor, the Agent of Audi Brand Holders in Indonesia at the 2018 GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). The new Audi A8 L has a wheelbase that is 13 cm longer than the standard A8, has a total body length of up to 5.3 meters with a width of 1.95 meters and a height of 1.49 meters. New A8 L’s strong identity stands out both day and night thanks to the use of HD Matrix LED headlights, as well as LED light strips on the rear lights. Even more interesting, turn signal both front and rear have used a dynamic indicator. New Audi A8 L has a spacious cabin that provides comfort. At the center of the dashboard there is now a 10.1-inch touch screen that appears disguised thanks to the dark panel colors that have similar shades to the high gloss black bezel accents on the dashboard. TFT screen measuring 1,540 x 720 pixels presents a very sharp image from various angles. The menu structure available is also increasingly intuitive like a modern smart phone. The second 8.6 inch touch screen is available on the center console as a center for AC settings and other cabin settings, including for text input.

Using full HD screen with a resolution of 1,920 x 720 pixels and NVIDIA K1 chip and head-up display integrated with MMI touch response with settings for all the features available, the operation is more practical and easy.

Voice control system which is now more natural makes A8 like a smart talking partner. This system is able to understand many expressions of the use of everyday language and can answer various commands and questions. Drivers can easily formulate commands that are spoken so that they can be understood by the voice recognition system. Dialogue is done with this voice control system and the driver can change between different menu areas.

The audio system of the New A8 L is presented by Bang & Olufsen Premium Sound System which is also capable of producing highquality 3D sound. Rear passengers are also spoiled with seats with comfortable and adjustable headrests, cabin atmosphere lights, LED Matrix reading lights and seat heaters. In Indonesia, PT Garuda Mataram Motor offers a choice of V6 Turbo 3.0 TFSI petrol engines capable of blowing peak power to 340 hp. Audi A8 has also been equipped with mild hybrid electric vehicle (MHEV) technology as a standard feature. This technology also has a start / stop function and an energy storage system of up to 12 kW which makes the Audi A8 capable of saving up to 0.7 liters of fuel every 100 km. Developed in accordance with the principles of Audi Space Frame (ASF), the chassis used by A8 L has 58 percent aluminium components. The passenger compartment is made of an ultra-high strength steel compound and a back wall made of carbon-fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP). The new Audi is a must buy.
