In celebration of the 60th anniversary of Goldfinger, the iconic 1964 James Bond film, Rolls-Royce has unveiled a singular masterpiece: the bespoke Phantom Goldfinger. This one-of-one model pays homage to the film and the opulent villain, Auric Goldfinger, with unique and meticulously crafted details that encapsulate the essence of luxury and James Bond’s world.

The Phantom Goldfinger features elements directly inspired by the original 1937 Phantom III Sedanca de Ville driven by Goldfinger. From its gold-plated golf club, reminiscent of the one in the film’s famous golf scene, to a striking gold “Speedform” bar housed in the center console, this car is a veritable treasure trove for Bond enthusiasts. Among the most intricate design choices, the picnic tables boast a 22-carat gold inlay of Fort Knox’s fictional map, directly referencing Goldfinger’s “Operation Grand Slam.” The luxurious interior, accented with navy leather and gold stitching, mirrors the original vehicle's elegant aesthetic.

The exterior of Phantom Goldfinger features a unique two-tone paint, with a yellow hue carefully matched to the original Phantom III Sedanca de Ville featured in the film. Its 21-inch black disc wheels with silver floating hubcaps are a nod to the classic look of the 1937 model. At the front, the iconic Spirit of Ecstasy figurine takes on a golden hue, subtly unveiling its golden foundation beneath a silver coat—an allusion to Goldfinger’s gold-smuggling plot. Rolls-Royce designers achieved this effect by skillfully plating solid silver with 18-carat gold, a feat symbolizing the luxurious yet cunning character of Goldfinger himself.

This Phantom Goldfinger extends its tribute further with a headliner that replicates the exact star constellation above Furka Pass on the final day of filming in 1964. In the Gallery—a unique space across the front fascia—sits a three-dimensional stainless-steel map of Furka Pass, where Bond followed Goldfinger across Switzerland’s scenic roads. Crafted with the highest level of precision, this feature alone took a year to perfect, underscoring Rolls-Royce’s dedication to craftsmanship.

For Rolls-Royce, the Phantom Goldfinger exemplifies the brand’s commitment to bespoke luxury, a passion that Chris Brownridge, Chief Executive of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, proudly emphasizes as the essence of the company’s innovative spirit. This unique creation honors Goldfinger while showcasing Rolls-Royce’s unparalleled expertise in blending cinematic allure with automotive artistry.
