On June 6, 2024, Grey Art Gallery in Bandung hosted a press conference for the launch "The Great Ocean Stories," an art exhibition by Peter Rhian Gunawan. This event marks the second major installment of "The Redmiller Blood Experience," focusing on new adventures and reflective themes through innovative media.
Peter Rhian Gunawan, an internationally recognized artist from Bandung, has crafted this exhibition around his central character, Redmiller Blood—a melancholic figure with red hair who sheds rainbow tears. This character is the result of five years of research into social issues and human emotions. The exhibition aims to provide an immersive underwater journey, encouraging visitors to escape the mundane realities of life and engage in introspection and imaginative exploration.
"The Great Ocean Stories" blends various art forms, including paintings, neon installations, art toys, and large-scale balloons, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere. The exhibition is a collaboration between Grey Art Gallery, G3N Project, and other partners like Gummy Art Studio and students from ITENAS.
Running from June 6th to August 20th, 2024 at Grey Art Gallery Braga in Bandung, the exhibition invites the public to explore the fantasy world and reflect on the importance of imagination and self-awareness.
