On September 28, Maestro Sidik W Martowidjojo (Ma Yong Qiang) together with Registry held a Solo Art Exhibition at the National Museum of Indonesia. Taking the theme of “Journey to Wisdom”, Sidik aims to convey the message of keeping humanity wise and to always love the universe to endorse sustainability for the future children and grandchildren. In this exhibition, 48 paintings by Sidik W. Martowidjojo was presented.
The exhibition was opened by Mrs. Ir. Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, MM, M.Sc. (Head of the Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises of the Provincial Government of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta) and was also attended by Mrs. Sri Hartini (Head of the National Museum).
The event was enlivened by a performance of “The Art of Tea” by Teh 63, as well as a fashion show using printed cloth by Sidik W. Martowidjojo which was applied to a cloth and scarf tie, as well as a special performance of Harp music by Maya Hasan.
From the 29th of September up until the 27th of October 2022, lovers of fine art can come to the National Museum of Indonesia where Sidik W Martowidjojo has put up his newest collection to showcase.
As a national treasure, Sidik is the first Indonesian painter whose works were exhibited at The Louvre Museum, France, in 2014 and received international recognition from Louvre International Art in France and National Art Museum of China (NAMoC), Beijing among many others. This exhibition is part of a series of charity events that have been held previously on the 12th to 18th of September 2022 at Plaza Senayan which continued with the opening of the exhibition and launching of his book entitled “VOYAGE TO WISDOM” on 25 September 2022 at Sunrise Art Gallery.
