The resort is designed by award-winning Perth-based architects firm Grounds Kent with portfolio on numerous culturally unique worldwide resort projects, feature landscaped by Made Wijaya, adorned with signature art pieces from acclaimed sculptor Pintor Sirait, and DaLa Spas décor by Moroccan-born interior decorator Zohra Boukhari.
Alaya Resort Ubud Deluxe Rooms provides clean-line furnishings, a smart en-suite bathroom, a decorative wall that showcases Bali’s creative legacy and a private terrace or balcony that blends seamlessly with the outdoors providing extra lounging space; while Alaya Rooms are the resort’s signature accommodation that features a smart decor with an original work of local artistry extending along one entire wall and out onto the terrace, a luxurious bathroom with a customized stone spa-styled bathtub.
The DaLa Spa at Alaya Resort Ubud comprises of six customized serene garden treatment rooms against a flowing river background that honors the local healing tradition and beauty practices inspired by the island’s indigenous ingredients, while another luxury spa with different ambience is served at the DaLa Spa at Villa de daun, Kuta, where daily services are available from 9am to 9 pm.
Petani Restaurant is a 120 seat casual dining site set next to Alaya Resort Ubud’s front entrance that is open daily from 7am to 11pm. The restaurant celebrates Indonesia archipelago diverse flavors from the islands fresh produce & seasonal specialties offering a generous buffet breakfast and home-styled regional dishes with modern twists for the rest of the day.The main swimming pool of Alaya Resort Ubud designed exclusively as a statement piece to local craftsmanship, reveals an elongated curved form that mirrors the landscape’s sloping contours and a bamboo bridge crosses the centre of the pool where the entire outer area is covered in natural stone and dotted with a collection of reclining chairs and shady sunbrellas.
The island-inspired décor Bamboo Bar serves energy boosting drinks, cocktails, beers, and spirit mixes daily from 9am to 7pm, ideal as an escapade to beat the heat.
