WakaGangga’s location on Gangga Beach, Tabanan regency, on the west coast of Bali, provides a convenient base for the guests to explore Bali’s several places of interest. The list includes Tanah Lot temple, Jatiluwih terraced rice fields-a UNESCO heritage site, ancient Batukaru temple, Pejaten ceramic village, Alas Kedaton monkey forest and Subak museum. The resort can be reached within 75 minutes drives from Ngurah Rai International Airport and the popular eating and shopping area of Seminyak is 45 minutes by car.

Reopened in 2014 after 2 years multi-million dollar complete redevelopment and upgrading; it’s stunning now. As a testimony to the resort’s unique architectural design and quality of accommodation and facilities, it has quickly gained the number one position on TripAdvisor amongst 13 resorts in Tabanan, Bali.

The concept of low-density development of stand-alone villas has been carried throughout the master plan of the site spread over 31,000 m2. WakaGangga currently has 23 resort Villas - 15 with private swimming pools. Adjacent to the Resort, 11 luxury Waka Residences – all with private swimming pools, are being developed for sale to discerning investors.

Resort facilities include an oceanfront Amphitheatre, Waka Bar & Restaurant, Spa, Fitness Centre, Meeting Room, Library and Gallery. The open-air amphitheatre with colorful Balinese sunsets and crashing surf on the beach as the backdrop is a popular venue for intimate weddings for up to 120 guests. Waka Bar & Restaurant is located on the beachfront offering 180 degree ocean views. The home cooked style of cuisine offers guests a wide variety of dishes from Indonesia, Asia and the West. Personal Yoga classes can be arranged in the lawns surrounding the main swimming pool by the beach.

Frequent Balinese cultural dances are held at the resort’s amphitheatre accompanied by beach BBQ dinner. Guests can also participate in traditional Balinese activities of making “canang” – temple offerings and kites. The Resort’s friendly staff will escort guests for trekking in the rice fields surrounding the resort or bicycling to the nearby villages and Kerambitan Palace. Since the 13th Century this Palace has played to royalty and feasts have been presented here for the likes of famous personalities like Mick Jagger, David Bowie and Supertramp to Prime Minister Fukuda of Japan, ministers and ambassadors from all over the world.
