Sumire Restaurant Authentic Japanese Delicacies

Sumire Restaurant is the home of authentic Japanese cuisine in a warm traditional Japanese country house setting located on level four at Grand Hyatt Jakarta. Strategically located in the heart of Indonesia’s capital, Grand Hyatt Jakarta is surrounded by office buildings that are home to international companies, embassies and government offices. Offering a dynamic lifestyle for both business and leisure travellers, it is conveniently located in an integrated complex of luxurious residential and office towers, adjacent to the Plaza Indonesia shopping centre, where guests can indulge in luxury brand shopping and various dining experiences, including the Sumire Japanese restaurant.

The name is inspired by a strikingly beautiful Sumire violet flower, which could be found only in Japan. For the interior, Sumire combines natural tones of wood, bamboo, stone and paper to further elevate the nature ambience within. It features dining area, four Private Tatami rooms, five Private Dining rooms, and four tables at the Teppanyaki counter for up to 34 guests, 15 seats at the Tempura/Kushiyaki counter, and 15 seats at the Sushi counter.

Sumire Restaurant offers the dining experience where guests can see the cuisine prepared right in front of them at the newly renovated Teppanyaki counters, serving a selection of four Teppanyaki set menus: Rokko, Fuji, Tosa, and the best seller to date Ise, which has lobster as the main delicacy. Besides the Teppanyaki counters and the existing Tempura counter, the Kushiyaki counter offers Japanese skewered items flame-grilled, featuring yakitori or chicken skewers, beef skewers, and a selection of scallops, prawns, cuttlefish, salmon or tuna sizzled on the grill.

A favourite among fine Japanese cuisine enthusiasts is the Sushi bar, which display the freshest and most exotic Japanese items. For even more selections, Sumire offers Sukiyaki, Shabu-Shabu, Donabe, Teriyaki, Tempura and Kushiage.
