Growing up in northern Italy where his family owned hotels alongside the scenic Lake Como, Chef Marco Riva has developed a fascination towards cooking since his days of washing dishes at the age of 12. “For me, chefs are artists. I have always admired the way they take raw ingredients and create something that wasn’t there before.” This enchantment has taken him across three continents and two oceans, before finally making a home in Jakarta as the Executive Chef of Four Seasons Hotel.

Alongside the delightful treats crafted by the chef, guests can also enjoy premium cocktails as well as Italian wine provided by its exclusive bar – nothing short of perfection for an after hour aperitivo.

Located at the hotel’s 20th floor, guests can look forward to an unparalleled dining experience in the city’s business district. With deep tones of red and soft ochre, as well as some touches of polished woods, the aesthetic décor of Alto is meticulously crafted to match the surrounding ambiance of Jakarta’s panoramic skyline.
