Phoenix Art Gallery offers features and displays works from one of Indonesia's renowned senior artist, Tio Tjay, whose paintings carry his signature containing daring colours from a wide range of the colour palette. Every painting bears a provocative message regarding nature, its cry for preservation, and a silent prophecy of the destruction of this earth by mankind.
Tio Tjay's masterpiece appear in full color, in the form of a dynamic and rich compositional variations. The Canvases never stop showing tranquility, shade, as well as radiation of tropic’s atmosphere warmth. He brought the authenticity of Indonesia and Brazil to the canvas without leaving his Indonesian soul as a painter who have had learnt the Chinese style painting. Tio Tjay’s painting show that character is strong, mighty, and masculine through acrylic paint. Whereas with watercolors he expresses the tenderness. Tio Tjay not only actively organizes exhibitions in Indonesia but also in Brazil, Paraguay, Italy and Japan.
