55 Steamboat, which opened in late 2016, distinguishes itself without trying too hard. It is unique enough to stand out in a crowded field already teeming with competitors, but not overly fancy to the point it feels gimmicky.Food aside, something that made our dining experience at 55 Steamboat particularly memorable was its ambience and decor. You can tell right from the get-go that a lot of effort has gone into the design of the restaurant; the space radiates a hip and playful vibe. A bright signboard, a spotlight at the front of the restaurant that casts a shadow-image of the restaurant's logo, umbrella lamps hanging from the ceiling - these all contribute to the sense of fun in the space.
