Akira Back is Korean-American snowboarder-turned-chef Akira Back's namesake restaurant that opened in JW Marriott Singapore South Beach. Recipient of the G Restaurant Awards 2017 Awards of Excellence, the food here is modern Japanese with hints of Korean influences – reflecting the chef’s training in Japanese cuisine, and his heritage. But the man behind Las Vegas’ Yellowtail has more than just sashimi and sushi up his sleeves. Check out the restaurant’s designer interiors, including paintings by the chef’s mother adorning the walls.
