Gen Project and Ganara Art Present “True Love Within” – A Solo Exhibition by Sherry Winata

In celebration of Ganara Art’s twelve-year journey as one of Indonesia’s leading contemporary art spaces, Gen Project proudly collaborates to present a solo exhibition titled “True Love Within” by acclaimed artist Sherry Winata. This exhibition stands as a testament to the power of synergy in advancing the Indonesian visual arts scene, while offering a platform for the appreciation of innovative ideas from local artists.

The opening ceremony, held at Ganara Art Space, Plaza Indonesia, 6th Floor, was officiated by Mrs. Katherine Grace Fadli Zon, spouse of the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. The event was further distinguished by the presence of four ministers’ spouses, fifteen deputy ministers’ spouses from the Red and White Cabinet, along with VIP guests from various sectors and senior representatives of Plaza Indonesia.

In this thoughtfully curated exhibition, Sherry Winata unveils a body of work that delves into the theme of true love—an authentic, inward journey of emotion and spirit. Her works, rich in narrative and emotional depth, offer a new lens through which contemporary Indonesian art can be viewed and experienced. Sherry stands out as a visionary artist, introducing fresh, previously unexplored perspectives to the national art landscape.

The “True Love Within” exhibition will be open to the public until August 9, 2025, welcoming art enthusiasts, collectors, and the general audience to experience this evocative visual journey firsthand.

Complementing the exhibition are a series of artist-led workshops, talks, and exclusive guided tours, designed to deepen audience engagement and offer insights into Sherry’s creative process and philosophy.

More than a celebration of one artist’s path, “True Love Within” marks a broader cultural statement—an invitation to reflect, to connect, and to embrace art as a medium for inner truth, emotional resonance, and cultural dialogue.
